Ronald Daughtrey, agriculture teacher and FFA Advisor at Lakeland High School, hosted VALOR Class IV fellows on Thursday evening of our second seminar. While holding up a Snickers bar, Mr. Daughtrey asked the group what the most expensive input is for it- peanuts, chocolate, etc. What’s your guess? See below for the answer.
He challenged the group to remove the seeds from a cotton boll then spin it into thread. He also presented on what his students do in his agriculture classes, Supervised Agricultural Experiences and FFA Chapter. He shared what many of his students have gone on to do in the agriculture industry after graduation.
Mr. & Mrs. Daughtrey and Lakeland FFA members prepared a delicious dinner for the group.
Answer: the most expensive part of the Snickers bar is the wrapper.
