Crystal Graham

Crystal Graham of Blacksburg, Virginia, associate director of development for Virginia Tech’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

I currently serve as the associate director of development for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS). For more than 11 years, I have supported growth opportunities for the college, Extension, students, local communities, and the industry we serve by helping alumni and friends engage and make philanthropic investments that create meaningful, lasting legacies and strengthen the college’s future.

While my path has varied, my passion and connection to agriculture and natural resources has remained constant. I fell in love with agriculture and natural resources at a young age, trail riding on horseback, plowing gardens, mowing hay, and log skidding with draft horses, participating in agricultural fairs, and caring for horses, livestock, poultry, and ruminants- or more broadly, whatever my grandfather brought home from the market that week.

I live close to Virginia Tech with my husband, Travis, and our two dogs, Riley and Remi. We enjoy being outdoors and juggling lots of projects.

I’m honored to have been selected as a fellow for the eighth VALOR class. I look forward to this unique and immersive experience over the next two years, where I will grow alongside fellow leaders and become a stronger advocate and champion for CALS, and Virginia’s largest private industry- one that is essential to our economy, our communities, and our daily lives.
