Brandon grew up in the Shenandoah Valley on his family’s beef cattle operation, Valley View Farms. Livestock judging led him to Texas Tech University in 2008 where he competed collegiately and spent a semester interning at the U.S. Embassy in Bern, Switzerland. After earning degrees in Animal Science (B.S.) and Political Science (B.A.) from Texas Tech, he spent time working at the R.A. Brown Ranch in Throckmorton, TX. Brandon is currently completing his last semester of law school at Washington & Lee School of Law and serving as the Government Affairs Manager at the U.S. Beet Sugar Association. Before joining U.S. Beet, Brandon worked as an agriculture lobbyist for Combest, Sell & Associates, spent two summers as a summer associate at Lenhart Pettit’s Harrisonburg law firm, and most recently served as a Law Clerk at the House Agriculture Committee during the 2018 Farm Bill conference. He remains involved in his family’s beef cattle operation and enjoys helping coach local 4-H and FFA livestock judging teams.
